With Super Bowl LIV now behind us, the focus will now be on next season for the 32 NFL teams.

They will be hoping they can replicate what the Kansas City Chiefs did at Super Bowl LV which will be played in February 2021 at the Raymond Jones Stadium in Tampa.

The betting is already out for Super Bowl LV. Here is a look at who the oddsmakers feel will have the best chance next season.

Kansas City top the betting

Kansas City are +700 favourites in the latest NFL odds to defend their crown at Super Bowl LV. The Chiefs have consistently been one of the best teams in football over the last couple of years as they reached then AFC Championship game two years ago and was successful in the Super Bowl earlier this month.

Patrick Mahomes was the Super Bowl MVP in Miami and is sure to get better as his career progresses. Supported by the likes of Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins, the Chiefs should once again be on the leading offenses in the league in 2020.

There were signs last season, particularly at the back end of the year, that Chiefs were also improving of defense. If they continue to get better on that side of the ball, they are going to take some stopping.

Patriots expected to be in contention again

The New England Patriots failed to reach the Divisional Round of the playoffs for the first time since 2009 last season. They were beaten 20-13 by the Tennessee Titans in the Wildcard Round.

Six-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady has yet to announce what his plans are for the future. Despite that, the bookmakers still position them fourth in the outright market at +1200 as they have confidence in the AFC East team to be strong whoever is behind centre.

Bill Belichick will no doubt be working hard in the offseason to put right where his side went wrong in the 2019/20 campaign. The chances are Brady will also want to stay on and prove he can win another Super Bowl ring before he retires and it would be premature to write him off just yet.

Tennessee Titans once again outsiders in the betting

One of the surprise packages in the NFL in the 2019/20 campaign were the Tennessee Titans. At one stage of the season, they looked to a lot of work to do to make the playoffs, however, they were able to win five of their last seven games to pick up a wildcard place.

The Titans caused two big upsets in the playoffs, beating the Patriots at Gillette Stadium and then knocking off the number one seeds Baltimore Ravens. Their march towards the Super Bowl ended when they went down in the AFC Championship game to the Chiefs.

With such a strong running game and a young team which should improve with experience, it would be no surprise to see the Titans once again have a great season in the 2020/21 campaign.
