Brumbies and Wallabies winger Joe Tomane has confirmed that he will leave Super Rugby to join French side Montpellier at season's end.
"I have decided to leave the Brumbies at the end of this season to take up a contract offer in France, with Top 14 side Montpellier." Tomane said in a message to fans on the club's website.
"It was a very difficult decision to make, but I feel the time is right to challenge myself and play rugby in a different environment.
"It is also an opportunity to live abroad and do what I love most, play Rugby.
"I have given my all to Australian Rugby and have been lucky enough to represent the Wallabies at the Rugby World Cup, which is every young players dream growing up.
"I hope that the possibility of returning to the Wallabies in the future is something that could happen, however right now my focus is doing everything I can to help the Brumbies in 2016 before my move to France."
Tomane will make his return for the Brumbies from a knee injury this week after a 10 week lay off.
He has made 17 appearances for the Wallabies, which is well below the 60 test caps required to be eligible for the national side while playing overseas.
He joins a growing list o Wallabies heading overseas, with Matt Toomua and Stephen Moore also leaving the Brumbies at the end of the year.
