NFL team owners approved the relocation of the St. Louis Rams to Los Angeles, ending the Californian city’s 21-year wait for a team.

The NFL announced that owners voted 30-2 to approve Rams owner Stan Kroenke’s proposal for a $1.86 million stadium in suburban Inglewood, a project that could crack $2 billion before its is completed.

Three teams were looking to relocate to Los Angeles as early as next season, but while the Rams will relocate for the 2016 season, the San Diego Chargers have an option to join the Rams at their new home at a later date.
